The project duration is one year. Funded organisations must complete the exchange programme (including the pre-exchange activities and post-exchange wrap-up activities) within 12 months from the effective date set out in the “Approval Letter of Funding Allocation”.

Thematic Project - Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Exchange Programme (Exchange Programme)
The funding cap for each exchange programme is HK$120,000. The final funding amount shall be as deemed reasonable by the Government / WoC, regardless of the amount sought.
The applicant organisation should set a theme for each exchange programme, for example, to understand the science and technology innovation of the Greater Bay Area (GBA), to learn about the women’s development projects in GBA, etc.
No. Each eligible organisation can only submit one application for exchange programme in each round.
Yes. Applicant organisations can organise a series of exchange activities under the customised theme, i.e. exchange activities can be organised at different times within the project implementation period. However, exchange activities organised by the same organisation with the same destination on the same departure day will be regarded as one exchange activity.
Eligible participants of the exchange programme must meet the following requirements:
- women aged 18 or above (as at the departure date);
- holding a valid Hong Kong Identity Card; and
- have not participated in any Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Exchange Programme subsidised by the WEF in the past 12 months (as at the departure date).
The eligible participants is required to sign the declaration from with consent to ensure the eligibility for funding.
Applicant organisations may propose an exchange tour lasting for more than three days. However, any expenses beyond three days will not be subsidised. That is, a maximum of three days of subsidy (including round-trip travelling time) is allowed for each participant.
The WoC will consider and accord the priority of each round of applications according to the factors set out below:
- the background of the applicant organisation (including co-organisers);
- the content and implementation arrangements of the project;
- financial arrangements of the project;
- target groups of participants and promotion;
- the expected outcomes, key performance indicators, methods / mechanisms for measuring performance and evaluating effectiveness of the proposed project, etc.;
- the risk assessment and contingency plan; and
- other factors which the WoC may consider relevant.
Priority will be given to the exchange programmes with the following elements:
- the applicant organisation can produce a letter of intent of the related host organisation in GBA;
- the group of participants consists of youth, professionals, ethnic minorities, new arrivals or persons with disabilities (please specify in Section C of the application form);and
- activities include visits to government agenciesor restricted destinations that are not normally accessible.
The number of eligible participants for each exchange tour shall not be less than 20.
